Bhavini Subramani started her BharataNatyam and music education in Kalakshetra - Chennai in 1980 and then graduated from Shri Satguru Sangeeta Samajam in Madurai. She also did part of her basic education in Kalakshetra School. After moving to Delhi, she learned from Padmashri Leela Samson – and honed her skills in the Kalakshetra style of dance. Smt. Chandrika Chandran had her early training in Bharatanatyam from veritable pantheons of this art form - Padmashri Vazhuvoor Sri. Ramiah Pillai and Kalaimamani Swamimalai Sri. S. K. Rajarathinam. She continues to receive guidance from Smt. Revathi Ramachandran of Chennai, India. Padmaja Kelam is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer and teacher living in the Atlanta area. She learnt from Guru Rajeshwari Sainath and Pasumarthy Ramalinga Sastry. Padmaja has been teaching dance for the past 25 years. She has had over hundreds of students and has conducted 11 arangetrams. She has choreographed over 70 dance items that include varnams, thillanas, jathiswarams, etc. Padmaja started the Kalaivani dance and music academy in 2004 to impart classical dance and music education.
